University Applications

Punzila helps students in Zambia apply to universities abroad, from foundation and undergraduate degrees to pre-master’s and postgraduate study. We handle applications for all our partner universities in the UK, Australia, Canada, Europe and beyond, so you work with one local team in Lusaka instead of many admissions offices.

How the university application process works

1. Choose your course and destination. Our counsellors help you shortlist universities that match your grades, budget and career plans. Not sure what to study? Start with career counselling.
2. Get your document checklist. Requirements differ between universities, courses and levels of study, so we give you a checklist for your chosen destination and course.
3. We check your eligibility. Once your documents are in, we make sure you meet the entry requirements before anything is submitted.
4. We submit your application. Offers normally arrive within 1–2 weeks, depending on the university’s admissions process.
5. After your offer. We support your student visa application, accommodation booking and personal statement.

Universities you can apply to through Punzila

We are the local representative for reputable universities and pathway providers, including Coventry University, the University of Portsmouth, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), the University of South Wales and Hartpury University in the UK; Curtin, Flinders, Macquarie and Murdoch universities in Australia; the University of Windsor and Trent University in Canada; Geneva Business School and EU Business School in Europe; and pathway providers such as Study Group, Kaplan, Navitas, OnCampus and Oxford International.

No A levels or IB? You can still apply

Foundation pathways are available if you don’t have A levels or IB. Students with ECZ, Matric or IGCSE O level certificates can often start with a foundation year, and some universities offer entry exams or interviews for students whose grades fall slightly short of the entry requirements. Foundation and pre-master’s courses usually take 6–9 months.
